Calera Supported Initiatives

In partnership with the founder and management, Calera helped scale the platform, diversify its markets, and build the infrastructure to support rapid growth:

  • Entered New Vertical Markets: Expanded the core freight forwarding model into fine art, specialty automotive, and temporary power markets with similar high-consequence logistics requirements
  • Expanded Geographically: Opened offices and launched JVs in key global markets, including South America, Australia, Japan, Mexico, and China — dramatically extending global reach
  • Led Strategic Acquisitions: Supported multiple acquisitions, including the high-impact acquisition of Tait, a leader in set design and construction for live entertainment. Tait’s further add-on of Stage Tech expanded the offering into permanent installations and created a new vertical growth engine
  • Strengthened Leadership & Infrastructure: Worked in partnership with the CEO to further build the management team, implement critical new systems, and develop the infrastructure and best practices needed for growth
