Robert Jaunich II


Robert Jaunich II is a Founding Partner of Calera Capital and a member of the General Partner.

Mr. Jaunich has over 40 years of domestic and international operating and investing experience across a broad range of industries. Prior to joining Calera Capital in 1991, he was Executive Vice President and member of the Chief Executive Office of Swiss-based Jacobs Suchard AG, one of the world's leading chocolate, sugar confectionery, and coffee companies. Previously, he was President of Osborne Computer Corporation, President of Sara Lee Corporation, and Executive Vice President of Memorex Corporation. He began his career with Procter & Gamble in 1964.

Mr. Jaunich also has substantial board-level experience. He currently serves as a Director of Direct General Corporation (non-standard auto insurer) and of Con-way, Inc. (NYSE, global supply services and related businesses). His previous board associations include Kinetic Concepts, Inc. (NYSE, Chairman), Juno Lighting, Inc. (NASDAQ, Chairman), Software Architects, Inc. (Chairman), Nellson Nutraceutical, Inc. (Chairman), Tapco International Corporation (Chairman), Kerr Group, Inc. (Chairman), Coldwell Banker Corporation (Chairman), Petro Stopping Centers, L.P. (Chairman), Crown Pacific Partners, L.P. (Chairman), Sara Lee Corporation (Director), Douwe Egberts (Supervisory Board), The Wine Group (Director), Brach Van Houten Holding, Inc. (Director), and Nabob Foods (Director).

Mr. Jaunich also serves as Chairman of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, is a trustee of the nonprofit National Recreation Foundation, is a member of the president’s advisory board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Peninsula, and is a life member of the World Presidents Organization. He was a member of the Young Presidents Organization (1980-1990).

Mr. Jaunich received a B.A. from Wesleyan University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
