James T. Farrell
is a Managing Partner of Calera Capital and a member of the General Partner.
Before joining Calera Capital in 1991, Mr. Farrell served as an independent
investor assisting Rainwater, Inc. in a private equity transaction that
led to the successful restructuring of AmeriCredit (NYSE, consumer finance
company). Previously, Mr. Farrell was an Associate at ESL Partners, a private
investment partnership pursuing value-oriented investments in private and
public equity and debt securities. He began his career in 1985 at Copley
Real Estate Advisors.
Mr. Farrell serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Modular
Space Corporation (lessor of modular assets). He is the former Chairman
of the Board of Directors of Tapco International Corporation (accessory
products and professional installation tools for residential exteriors),
and a former Director of Kinetic Concepts, Inc. (NYSE, international healthcare
services and medical devices) and of Coldwell Banker Corporation (nationwide
residential real estate services). He currently serves as a Director of
the nonprofit Pacific Research Institute.
Mr. Farrell received a B.A. from Princeton University and an M.B.A.
from Harvard Business School.
