Fremont Partners acquired a controlling interest in Tapco International Corporation from the founder’s estate and family. A family interest in the selling estate and the Tapco management continue to own a significant equity interest.

Tapco is the leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of accessory products and professional installation tools for the remodeling and new construction of residential exteriors. The Company is headquartered in Plymouth, Michigan. Additional manufacturing facilities are located in Metamora, Michigan and Elkland, Pennsylvania.

The Company’s products are sold throughout the U.S. and selected European markets through four principal distribution channels: one- and two-step distributors, “do-it-yourself” mass merchandisers and manufactured housing distributors. Tapco’s products include window shutters, gable and roof vents and exterior fixture mounting blocks and are used most frequently when vinyl siding is installed, though the products are designed for the exterior of all homes regardless of construction type. Tapco continues as a privately held company following the acquisition by Fremont Partners.
